8 DAYS – 7 NIGHTS MONDAY DEPARTURES
DAY 1: EN ROUTE – Depart U.S.A. via overnight jet flight to Athens, Greece. Dinner and breakfast served on board. (D)
DAY 2: ATHENS – Arrival at the Athens airport, where you will be met by Pharos personnel and assisted through customs and baggage claims formalities and escorted to your hotel. Remainder of the day at leisure. (B)
DAY 3: ATHENS – After breakfast at the hotel, depart on a morning Athens city tour, which will introduce you to the most important cultural sites of this glorious city, such as the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Constitution Square-Syntagma, the Presidential Palace, the Panathenaic Stadium, where the first Olympic Games revived in modern era, Andrian’s Arch and the Temple of Zeus, the Acropolis, where you visit the Parthenon and the museum, Theseum and the Greek Orthodox Cathedral-Metropolis – the Monastiraki flea market, the Academy, the University and the National Library. Overnight in Athens. (B)
DAY 4: ATHENS – Day at leisure. You may choose to take an optional tour or go on a shopping spree to nearby Ermou Street or to the fashionable Kolonaki square. Do not miss a ride with the funicular on to Lycabettus Hill where you get the most spectacular view of the city. Athens overnight. (B)
DAY 5: ATHENS – CRUISING – MYKONOS – Today, you will be transferred to Piraeus port to embark your cruise ship for a three day Greek Island cruise. Sail on to the island of MYKONOS, famous For its jet-set atmosphere, its picturesque windmills and white washed houses. (B, L ,D)
DAY 6: CRUISING – PATMOS – KUSADASJ – Morning arrival in KUSADASI, Turkey. Excellent shopping values at the Bazaar or take an optional tour to Ephesus. Sail on to the Greek island of Patmos, (Patmos included only from March 15 to May 31 and from September 6 to November 1–Check with our office for details) where St. John received the Revelation and wrote the Last Book of the New Testament. DAY 7: CRUISING – RHODES – Spend a full day on the island of the Knights, and the site of Cdossus of Rhodes. Visit the old town, surrounded by the impressive walls of the Castle of Knights, or take an optional tour to the Acropolis of Lindos. (B,L,D)
DAY 8: ATHENS – DEPARTURE – Morning arrival at Piraeus port, disembarkation, met by Pharos personnel and escorted to the airport for your return Flight to New York. Do not forget to visit the Athens Duty Free shops, ranked the best in value among the other European cities. (Extensions available) (B,L,S)
